Rainwater drainage installation – French drainage made of 11,000 m2 of polypropylene geotextile will drain rainwater from the surface of the pitch covered with artificial turf.
French drainage, one of the types of drainage, a technique of draining water from the earth’s surface using a system of drainage pipes placed in a specially prepared ditch lined with geotextile.
In drainage systems, geotextiles act as a filter. In geotechnical applications, a geotextile filter performs two main functions: it allows water to pass through and it retains (holds back) the soil, not soil particles. The filter should allow the passage of small particles carried by the water. If fine particles could not pass through the filter, it would clog.
